Melodie Naturals is our small family business. And we really mean small. We hand-pack every single order ourselves, and if you contact us with any concerns or suggestions, there is no customer service team or bots to jump through. By supporting this business, you are literally supporting our family and we are so incredibly thankful for each and every one of you!

As a young family of 6 (yep, 4 boys), we’ve made it our mission to help other young families out there enjoy creative and imaginative play. Our goal is always finding that tricky balance between beauty, sensory needs, durability, and value.

Our Products

The main product we currently offer is our play scarves. We were inspired by the gorgeous playsilks available for open-ended play. We absolutely love the concept, but were not quite as thrilled with the cost of real silk or what happens to the thousands of silkworms who are quite literally boiled alive to produce silk. 🙁

This inspired us to test dozens of different fabrics in an attempt to find the one which best replicates the light, airy nature and smooth feeling of real silk. We landed on a special polyester material which is currently produced for us by an ethical Chinese factory. Although we ideally wanted to keep production of our products in the US, we quickly realized that almost all fabric is produced in Asia (including most pricey real playsilks, by the way!)

We are super excited to be introducing a completely new product line– wool felt toys ethically handcrafted by female artisans in Nepal! We currently have a set of  multicultural felt people in all 7 colors of the rainbow, as well as a set of rainbow-colored pebble stackers. Check them out in the shop!
